Bahama Mama Boat Cruise

What can I say? What a laugh and when are we doing it again!?

Thank you so much to everyone who supported this PTA event and you will be pleased to hear we managed to raise $2124.70 which we will shortly be spending on much needed resources for our classrooms.

We didn't sell as many tickets as we would have liked, but we did have enough on the boat to have lots of fun. Thanks a million to everyone who helped. The food committee (Bev, Jolanda, Jennifer, Heather, Bronwen and Veronia) did a brilliant job and the food was excellent and just the right amount. Thank you to Laura and Ghassan as always, for all their hard-work organising the bar. Brent for the spectacular Bahama Mama's. Helping with and on the bar, Ian, Brent, Kath, Vikki, Andrea, Peter and Antoine. Len Hindley for best supporter of the bar! The wonderful Treasury team - Donnah and Veronica.

Oh, also thanks goes to Mark Gifford for helping on the bar - we thought we better set him to work as we didn't want him nodding off at 9.30pm!

Thanks to Rob Speller for his very generous donation and of course the wonderful Freeport Advertising for their donation of the tickets and posters.

Finally, special thanks to Vikki Purvis who organised the boat and by 'one way or another', sold most of the tickets. Well done Vikki.

The only real hitch of the night was when I nearly killed a customer!
I accidentally served a whisky and dry in the cup Kath Hindley was collecting the soda tabs!! Whoops. Well I didn't know.
