LIS PTA Fund New ICT Laboratory

 

 

Thank you to the PTA for generously supporting the development of our new computer laboratory. The donation allows us to build a new facility from the ground up without having to compromise by including or adding on to the existing system. 

The laboratory will contain 24 flat screen work stations. These are the latest models and capable of using a wide range of sophisticated software. This allows all of our classes to have one computer each, rather than having to share, which is the case with the current laboratory. High speed internet through a dedicated server will allow our students and teachers access to the incredible resources available today. We will of course be ensuring that the appropriate security measures are in place.  There will also be two servers to control the intranet where student’s work and teacher’s resources can be stored and accessed easily.

This laboratory will be a great resource for everyone at the school and will impact every aspect of teaching and administration in the school. The support of the PTA is much appreciated and we are extremely grateful to have the opportunity to implement this development quickly.
